Another loose peak we had to pick-up - Birkhouse Moor at the bottom of Striding Edge on Helvellyn. New way for both of us from the Grisedale valley up to the hole-in-the wall on Striding Edge. A few people out heading up to Helvellyn, very cold on Striding Edge, snow on top. We headed back down to Birkhouse Moor and a little peak at the bottom called Keldas, warmed up near the bottom. Great short walk, beautiful views over Ullswater and St. Sunday Crag.

From left to right: Striding Edge, Helvellyn, Swirral Edge and Catstycam. Red Tarn is hidden from view. |
