Did a quick circuit of the Great Pinseat round whilst my walking partner was away in Leeds on business. The weather was fairly benign, but grey, grey and grey! not a slither if sunshine to be had anywhere. The top of Great Pinseat is at the best of times a pretty desolate landscape with industrial waste from the mines heaped in big spoil heaps that hold very little visual attraction. But the brooks and streams bubbled and ran frantically with the snow melt giving a pleasant backdrop to grouse and lapwing calls on the distant hillside of Crag Willas

This vehicle never made it back.
